چکیده
The paper discusses the complex effect of melt overheating with subsequent fast cooling down to pouring temperature on crystallization process, microstructure and mechanical properties Al-Mg-Si aluminum alloy. results obtained facilitated establishment rational modes overheating, leading a significant change in dispersion morphology structural components. In particular, an increase 900 °C holding rapid casting temperature, decrease average size dendritic cells solid solution from 39 ?m 13 was observed. We also noticed refinement eutectic inclusions Mg2Si phase compact morphology. An increased level noted; maximum values tensile strength elongation reached 228 MPa 5.24%, respectively, which exceeded initial by 22.5% 52.3%, correspondingly. microhardness sequentially 38.21 56.5 HV during overheating. According EDS linear scanning, superheat is accompanied degree saturation magnesium.

متن کاملInfluence of Rolling Temperature on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cryorolled Al-Mg-Si Alloy
An effect of rolling temperature on the mechanical properties and microstructural evolution of an Al-Mg-Si alloy was studied. The material was rolled up to a true strain of ∼0.7 at three different temperatures viz; room temperature, liquid propanol and liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen rolled sample exhibited superior properties with a yield and tensile strength of 332 MPa and 364 MPa, respe...
متن کاملHigh-Temperature Compressive Resistance and Mechanical Properties Improvement of Strain-Induced Melt Activation-Processed Al-Mg-Si Aluminum Alloy
Even though the high-temperature formability of Al alloys can be enhanced by the strain-induced melt activation (SIMA) process, the mechanical properties of the formed alloys are necessary for estimation. In this research, a modified two-step SIMA (TS-SIMA) process that omits the cold working step of the traditional SIMA process is adopted for the 6066 Al-Mg-Si alloy to obtain globular grains w...

متن کاملMechanical Properties of Die-Cast Nonflammable Mg Alloy
Tensile specimens of nonflammable AZ91D Mg alloy were fabricated in this study via cold chamber die-casting process. Dimensions of tensile specimens were 25mm in length, 4mm in width, and 0.8 or 3.0mm in thickness. Microstructure observation was conducted before and after tensile tests at room temperature. In the die casting process, various injection distances from 150 to 260mm were employed t...
